A few years ago, Taylor Rhea of Zhora told the Dallas Observer she became an entertainer so she could “feel the crowd.” She’ll do just that Saturday, May 12, at Array, where she’ll DJ in between sets by Nas, Big Gigantic, Kaleo and Jacob Banks—each of whom is collaborating with a Dallas-based arts group.

Houston-native Rhea first made a name for herself in Dallas as a member of the popular electronic act Ishi. She’s continued to attract attention as Zhora, a solo synthpop act she formed in 2011.

In addition to performing original music under the name Zhora, Rhea has also deejayed regularly at Deep Ellum’s Off the Record; the Pin Show, an annual fashion show at The Bomb Factory; and even in West Texas at Marfa’s hip El Cosmico.

Array is a celebration of music, art and technology, which brings together Dallas’ best performing artists with renowned music acts from all over the world. Array is a part of the SOLUNA International Music & Arts Festival.

As the official DJ of star-studded Array, Zhora will help maintain and build the evening’s momentum. Expect dancey sets influenced by some of her favorite artists, including David Bowie and Goldfrapp. Zhora will make sure your feet never rest as one superstar’s performance transitions into the next.
