The Bomb Factory is one of Dallas’ most storied music venues, rooted in over a century of history and reinvention. Originally built in 1914 as a Ford automobile plant, the building later produced munitions during World War II, giving rise to the name that would become legendary in Deep Ellum.
After decades of transformation, the venue emerged in the 1990s as a stage for iconic acts such as Phish, Radiohead, The Ramones, Sonic Youth, and Black Sabbath, and even hosted Dallas’ first-ever Warped Tour in 1995.
Following a $7 million renovation, The Bomb Factory reopened in 2015 with a sold-out performance by hometown hero Erykah Badu, marking the beginning of a new era that welcomed artists like Robert Plant, Lauryn Hill, and Sturgill Simpson. In March 2025, the venue proudly reclaimed its original name, relaunching with LCD Soundsystem and reaffirming its place as one of Dallas’ premier destinations for live music and events.
Today, The Bomb Factory continues to honor its historic legacy while shaping the city’s vibrant cultural future.
